We are Longsands Soap -- Handmade soaps from the North East Coast!

We make small batches of high quality soap here in in Tynemouth. We are hobbyists just starting out, but wanted to share our shop with the world - because we think its unreal ;)

We started using bar soap to reduce the amount of plastic packaging we use, and to reduce the amount of chemicals we wash down our drains when using shower gel. But we found mass-produced soap would dry out our skin - and it's still full a nasties :(

So we make our own soap with just three or four core ingredients -- extra virgin olive oil, unrefined organic shea butter, and organic coconut oil. We then saponify this lush mix of oils and add natural essential oils - and some homegrown herbs from our very own garden where we can! Most of our soaps are therefore 100% natural.

Some of our soaps have high quality fragrance oils in to supplement hard to create scents. We'll show which soaps have fragrance oils in if you want to remain 100% natural.

Because we use only good quality ingredients, we find our soap to be super moisturising. We let out soap dry out naturally for 6-8 weeks, so that it stays solid even with daily use!

We've made a few small batches of our soap to sell, and while we start out, most of our profits are being donated to charity. We are raising money for UNICEF's Gaza Appeal to give much needed humanitarian assistance in Gaza. 

All of our soap bars are for sale for £5, and we also have some smaller face cleanser and face moisturising bars for £3.50. £1 of each bar sold goes to charity.
